Our name is short for Norwalk Sailing School. The Sailing school site at Calf Pasture Beach has been established in the 1960's by then mayor of Norwalk -open for the public's use and enjoyment.
Since then, generations of sailors and windsurfers have sailed through weaving their stories and taking memories with them. Everyone knows us as NSS.

We offer sailing for adults and youth, windsurfing and intro to wingfoiling for teenagers and adults We run after school and Home School group and private courses in Spring and Fall
BEGINNER JUNIOR SAILING
a series of six 1 week Learn to Sail summer sessions for complete beginner sailors ages 7+. Progressive development over the course of multiple sessions Dinghy Sailing June 22-July 31, 2026
MOREINTERMEDIATE JUNIOR SAILING
a series of six 1 week sessions focused on development of sailing techniques course for returning campers or non beginner sailors. June 22-July 31, 2026
MOREADVANCED JUNIOR SAILING
a series of six 1 week sessions focused on development of advanced sailing techniques and introductory windsurfing course for returning campers or non beginner sailors. June 22-July 31, 2026

Save on Junior Sailing and Adult Sailing this season with the NSS Referral Program. '26 Season Update: NSS is preparing an exciting lineup of on-the-water experiences for the 2026 season, which is expected to be the final year operating programs at the Norwalk Sailing School site. The Updates page highlights expanded options including kayak and SUP rentals, tours and intro classes, sailing tours, sailing courses and private clinics, the Junior Sailing Program, and wind sports instruction (windsurfing and wingfoiling details to be announced).
